옷공방은 2016년 한복진흥센터의 지원으로 한복 전용 마네킹을 개발하였다. 서구적 체형을 기준으로 제작된 기존 마네킹으로는 한복 고유의 맵시를 표현하는 데 한계가 있다는 점에 주목하여, 한국인의 체형을 반영한 마네킹을 제작하였다.마네킹은 토르소, 좌상, 입상의 세 가지 형태로 구성되며, 관절을 자유롭게 움직여 다양한 자세를 연출할 수 있는 것이 특징이다. 전시의 구성과 복식의 특성에 맞춰 활용할 수 있도록 설계하여, 한복의 우아한 선과 맵시를 다채롭게 드러내고자 하였다.
Clothing Studio developed 'mannequins specifically for hanbok' with support from the Hanbok Advancement Center. Recognising that conventional mannequins based on Western body proportions could not fully convey the distinctive silhouette and fit of hanbok, the studio created designs reflecting Korean body proportions.The mannequins come in three forms: torso, seated and standing. Movable joints allow for a wide range of poses, offering flexibility for different exhibition settings and types of clothing. The designs were developed to reveal the elegant lines and distinctive silhouettes of hanbok in a variety of ways.
