온지음 옷공방은 한불 수교 130주년을 기념하여 프랑스 국립장식미술관에서 개최한 한국특별전에 참가하였다. 온지음 옷공방의 첫 번째 해외전시이자, 한국을 대표하는 한복 디자이너들과 현대 패션 디자이너들이 참여한 이번 전시는 현재를 넘어 미래로 향하고 있는 한국 복식 문화의 전통과 철학을 보여주고자 기획되었다. 온지음 옷공방은 간결하고 절제된 멋을 지닌 선비의 포와 실용적인 배자를 통해 우리 전통 복식의 아름다움을 세계에 선보였다.
Onjium Clothing Studio participated in a special exhibition on Korea held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris to mark the 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France. The exhibition, which marked the studio’s first overseas presentation, brought together leading Korean hanbok designers and contemporary fashion designers. It was conceived to present the traditions and philosophy of Korean dress as it looks beyond the present towards the future. Through the po, an outer robe worn by seonbi, or Confucian scholars, distinguished by its simple, restrained elegance, and the baeja, a practical sleeveless vest, Onjium Clothing Studio introduced the beauty of traditional Korean dress to an international audience.
