2: Art in Life, Life in Art2》는 삶의 공간 속에 스며든 예술의 감각을 탐구하며, 개인의 취향과 일상의 경험이 어떻게 공간의 풍경을 형성하는지를 제안하는 전시다.

D Museum’s "Art in Life, Life in Art2" explores the presence of art within living spaces, considering how personal taste and everyday experiences shape the character of an interior. A series of imagined homes brings together contemporary design furniture, craft, and artworks, expressing an aesthetic approach to living in which art and daily life are intertwined. By showing how everyday settings can become places of sensory experience and reflection, the exhibition examines how taste, as an invisible guiding principle, shapes the identity of a space and the ways it is experienced.Onjium Design Dept. creates Nujeong (Tea Room) within the “Split House” in the M2 section, proposing a contemplative space where the cultivated pleasures of tradition coexist with contemporary beauty of form. Reinterpreting the concept of a pavilion above a pond, the tea room combines a raised platform covered with layers of lacquered hanji, traditional Korean paper, with deep blue-green tones to create a tranquil atmosphere. Blinds made from ra (羅), a silk gauze reinterpreted by the Clothing Studio with inspiration from Goryeo-period textiles, gently filter light and allow air to pass through, lending a sense of openness and flow to the space. Connected to the living room, the tea room offers a transition in mood where rest and contemplation meet. The seating area behind Nujeong features Ogunja Rectangular Cushions, incorporating the Clothing Studio’s “Five Gentlemen” motifs. Their combination of soft fabrics and varied patterns adds depth to the composition of the space. Arranged on the raised platform are Boryo Jari, a seating mat inspired by traditional padded floor bedding; Chilmo Lamp, a standing light that reconfigures antique chilmo and candlesticks in a contemporary design; and Sambari, a table inspired by furniture depicted in the murals of Muyongchong, a Goguryeo tomb. Together, they bring warmth and rhythm to the interior. Reinterpreting traditional forms and symbols in a contemporary context, these objects create a setting in which to savour tea and moments of reflection.Onjium Design Dept.’s Nujeong translates a traditional concept of space into a contemporary living environment, offering a way to deepen the aesthetic experiences of everyday life.
