〈유리 방울 화병〉 개발 〈Glass Bell Vase〉

‘삼국시대와 유리’는 삼국시대 기물에 나타나는 실험적이고 독창적인 조형에 주목하는 온지음 에디션 시리즈입니다. 기물의 형태와 조형적 특징을 연구하고, 이를 유리의 물성과 제작 방식에 접목하여 오늘의 쓰임을 지닌 새로운 형태로 선보입니다.〈유리 방울 화병〉은 삼국시대 ‘방울잔’에서 영감을 받아 유리 공예 작가와 함께 제작한 작품입니다. 넓게 열린 입과 낮고 좁은 목이 이루는 유려한 실루엣은 고대 방울잔의 형태미를 이어갑니다. 본래 도자기로 제작되던 기물을 유리로 재해석하여, 재료의 변화가 만들어내는 투명함과 섬세한 표정을 더했습니다.맑음과 뽀얀 빛이 공존하는 유리에는 미세한 기포와 은은하게 번지는 색채가 어우러집니다. 시간의 흔적과 자연의 결을 닮은 이 표정은 작품마다 조금씩 다른 아름다움을 드러냅니다.

'Three Kingdoms and Glass' is an ONJIUM Edition series exploring the experimental and distinctive forms of objects from Korea’s Three Kingdoms period. Through research into their shapes and sculptural qualities, the series reinterprets historical objects through the material properties and making processes of glass, giving them new forms and contemporary uses.Created in collaboration with a glass artist, the 〈Glass Bell Vase〉 draws inspiration from a bell goblet of the Three Kingdoms period. Its wide mouth and short, narrow neck form a flowing silhouette that retains the elegance of the ancient vessel. Translating a form originally made in ceramic into glass introduces transparency and a delicate interplay of surface and light.Clarity and milky translucence coexist within the glass, where fine bubbles meet softly diffused color. Evoking the traces of time and the textures of nature, these subtle variations give each piece its own character.
