〈삼국시대 손잡이 잔〉 개발 〈Three Kingdoms Handled Cup〉

온지음은 시대별 연구와 답사를 바탕으로 조선과 고려, 삼국시대의 생활문화를 탐구하며, 그 안에 담긴 미감과 가치를 오늘의 쓰임으로 이어가고 있다.〈삼국시대 손잡이 잔〉은 가야와 신라의 손잡이잔에서 영감을 받아 도자 작가와 함께 제작한 작품이다. 옛 손잡이잔은 당시의 의례와 음용 문화를 살펴볼 수 있는 유물로, 회청색과 적색 등 자연스러운 색감과 절제된 선, 손으로 빚어낸 저마다의 형태에 고유한 미감이 담겨 있다.온지음은 이러한 유물에서 발견한 ‘손맛’과 ‘선의 맛’을 현대적인 감각으로 재해석하였다. 손끝의 흔적이 자연스럽게 남은 형태와 유려한 선을 통해, 약 1,500년 전 가야와 신라의 조형 감각을 일상에서 경험할 수 있도록 하였다. 단아한 실루엣과 섬세한 손길이 어우러지는 것이 특징이다.

Through historical research and field studies, Onjium explores the everyday cultures of the Joseon, Goryeo and Three Kingdoms periods, bringing their aesthetics and values into contemporary use.Created in collaboration with a ceramic artist, the Three Kingdoms Handled Cup draws inspiration from handled vessels of Gaya and Silla. These historical objects offer insight into the rituals and drinking practices of their time. Their natural grey-blue and reddish hues, restrained lines and individually shaped forms reveal a distinctive aesthetic rooted in handcraft.The design reinterprets the tactile character and expressive lines of these ancient vessels for contemporary life. Subtle traces of the maker’s touch and flowing contours bring the sculptural sensibilities of Gaya and Silla, dating back some 1,500 years, into everyday experience. An understated silhouette and delicate craftsmanship define each cup.
