디자인실이 새롭게 선보이는 보료방석은 가장자리의 색을 달리한 전통 보료의 배색 방식에서 착안한 디자인이다. 두툼한 솜을 넣은 방석과 착탈 가능한 덮개로 구성되며, 위아랫면을 박음질로 고정하여 볼륨감을 살리고 덮개의 끈을 뒷면으로 통과시켜 매듭으로 고정하였다. 덮개는 손쉽게 분리되어 세탁과 오염 관리가 용이하며, 계절과 공간의 분위기에 맞춰 교체할 수 있어 실용적이다.
The Design Dept.’s Boryo Cushion draws inspiration from the contrasting border colors of traditional boryo, padded mats used for floor seating. It comprises a generously padded cushion and a removable cover. Stitching joins the upper and lower surfaces to create a full, contoured form, while the cover’s ties pass through to the back and are secured with a knot.The cover is easily removed for washing and care, and can be changed to suit the season or the character of a space, bringing versatility to everyday use.
