디자인실은 고구려 고분 벽화에 그려진 수유무늬를 재발굴하여 패턴 디자인을 진행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 옷공방은 세마직물과 협업하여 한복용 금직물로 제직하고, 옛 명주와 함께 현대 여성 한복 치마저고리를 완성하였다.
The Design Dept. revisited the suyu(수유) motif found in Goguryeo(고구려) tomb murals and developed it into a textile pattern. Working with Sema Textiles, the Clothing Studio then wove the pattern into a gold brocade for hanbok. The brocade was paired with vintage silk to create a contemporary women’s hanbok ensemble comprising a chima (치마, skirt) and jeogori (저고리, jacket).
