디자인실은 웨스틴조선서울의 웨딩 프로모션 《에버그린(Evergreen) Ⅱ》를 위한 ESG 답례품으로 노방 복주머니를 제작하였다. 전통 복주머니 중 '두루 주머니'의 형태에서 착안하여, 사각형으로 재단한 노방 원단을 여러 겹 겹쳐 봉제하였다. 내용물을 넣으면 볼록하게 형태가 드러나는 구조로, 평편한 원단이 입체적인 쓰임으로 전환되는 것이 디자인의 특징이다. 일회용 포장재 대신 다회용으로 활용 가능한 노방 소재를 채택하였으며, 공정 과정에서 버려지는 원단이 발생하지 않도록 설계하여 지속 가능한 디자인을 구현하였다.
The Onjium Design Dept. created silk organza bokjumeoni (복주머니, traditional Korean good fortune pouches) as sustainability-focused guest gifts for Evergreen II, a wedding promotion at The Westin Josun Seoul.Inspired by the rounded form of the traditional duru-jumeoni(두루주머니), the pouches are made by layering and stitching square-cut pieces of silk organza. Their distinctive construction allows the flat fabric to take on a rounded, three-dimensional form when filled.Designed for repeated use as an alternative to disposable packaging, the pouches make full use of the fabric without generating offcuts during production, putting sustainable design into practice.
