디자인실은 제네시스 하우스 뉴욕의 《A Sense of the Future》를 위해 PB 상품 '풍경(風磬)'을 디자인하였다. 맑고 호젓한 소리와 함께 그 자체로 공예적 아름다움을 지닌 전통 오브제인 풍경을 통해, 컨셉카 Genesis X가 담은 '역동적 우아함과 사운드'를 한국적 정서와 미감의 언어로 풀어냈다. '검소하지만 누추하지 않고, 화려하지만 사치스럽지 않은' 검이불루 화이불치의 정신을 바탕으로, 조선시대 풍의 검박한 형태미에 옷공방이 연구·개발한 원단 및 소품을 믹스매치하여 완성하였다. 에이징된 소재의 무게감과 손의 온기가 느껴지는 제작 방식을 통해, 자연과 공간의 조화를 즐기던 선조들의 미감을 오늘의 감각으로 잇는다.
Design Studio designed a wind chime as an exclusive product for 'A Sense of the Future' at Genesis House New York. A traditional object valued for its clear, tranquil sound and its beauty as a work of craft, the wind chime interprets the Genesis X concept car’s 'Athletic Elegance and Sound' through Korean sensibilities and aesthetics.Guided by the principle of geomibullu, hwaibulchi(검이불루 화이불치)—'modest yet dignified, splendid yet restrained'—the design combines the unadorned forms associated with the Joseon period with fabrics and accessories researched and developed by the Clothing Studio. The quiet presence of aged materials and the warmth of handcraft connect an appreciation for harmony between nature and space, cherished by earlier generations, with contemporary sensibilities.
