고려금(高麗錦)은 일본과 중국의 옛 문헌에 ‘고려금’, ‘백지고려금’, ‘고려백금’으로 기록되어 있으며, 부드럽고 풍만한 보상화무늬를 동양적으로 표현한 것으로 보인다. 이 고려금 중에 12세기의 봉서리탑 복장물*을 재현하였다.

Ancient records in Japan and China refer to ‘Goryeo-geum,’ ‘Baekji Goryeo-geum,’ and ‘Goryeo-baekgeum,’ which are thought to express soft, full Buddhist floral patterns with an Oriental touch. Of these floral patterns, we reproduced the one that was discovered in the storage cavity of the stone pagoda at Bongseo-ri dating back to the 12th century, which is now in the collection of Daegu National Museum.
