한복상점 〈온하루 스템커피 팝업 카페〉 공간 디자인 Spatial Design for the Onharu × STEM COFFEE Pop-up Café at Hanbok Expo

디자인실은 〈2023 한복상점〉에서 온하루와 스템커피가 함께한 팝업 카페 공간을 디자인하였다. 본 프로젝트는 식음 중심의 브랜드 이미지를 넘어, 전통 의식주 문화 연구를 기반으로 한 리빙 브랜드로서 온하루의 정체성을 공간으로 확장하고자 기획되었다. ‘한복을 입은 한옥’이라는 개념 아래, 한옥의 형상을 기반으로 한 구조와 한복 원단을 활용한 마감 방식을 통해 전통의 재료와 조형을 현대적으로 풀어냈다.구조는 전통 가설 시설인 차일의 방식에서 착안하였으며, 옥색을 중심으로 한 색채와 한옥의 정취를 향유할 수 있도록 사이니지 역할로 활용한 풍경, 세조대를 연상시키는 장식 요소를 더해 단아한 공간의 인상을 완성하였다. 또한, 재사용이 가능한 소재와 시공 방식을 적용하여, 전시 이후까지 고려한 지속 가능한 공간 설계를 함께 제안하였다.

Design Dept. designed the Onharu × STEM COFFEE pop-up café at the 2023 Hanbok Expo. The project sought to broaden Onharu’s image beyond food and beverages, expressing its identity as a lifestyle brand rooted in research into traditional Korean clothing, food and housing. Guided by the concept of 'a hanok dressed in hanbok(한복을 입은 한옥),' the design reinterpreted traditional materials and forms through a structure inspired by hanok architecture and finishes made from hanbok fabrics.The structure drew on traditional temporary canopies known as chail(차일). A palette centered on jade green, wind chimes that also served as signage, and decorative details recalling sejodae(세조대), traditional braided waist cords, gave the space a quiet elegance and evoked the atmosphere of a hanok. Reusable materials and construction methods extended the design’s consideration of sustainability beyond the exhibition itself.
