온지음 팝업 〈가을 햇차가 옥사발에 가득하니 with 로해〉 Onjium Pop-up: An Autumn Bowl Filled with the Season’s New Tea — with Rohae

온지음은 차를 통해 전해져 온 환대의 방식과 그 안에 담긴 마음을 바탕으로, 로해와 함께 가을의 절기에 맞춘 차 팝업을 운영하였다. 과거 귀한 차를 아껴 보관하고 최상의 상태로 손님에게 내어주기 위해 이어져 온 방식에 주목하여, 햇차를 봄에 봉인하고 가을에 개봉하는 과정을 기록과 문헌을 통해 재구성하였다. 초의선사의 『다신전』과 김시습의 기록을 바탕으로 차의 보관과 음용에 담긴 태도를 살피고, 이를 하나의 경험으로 엮어내고자 하였다.팝업에서는 고려시대 가루차 려운과 빙륜과, 우림차와 차전병·차잣머랭, 온지음 블렌딩차와 곶감 파운드를 선보이며, 차와 다과가 어우러지는 구성으로 계절의 깊이를 전하였다. 청화 상감 기법을 적용한 백자 찻잔을 함께 제안하여 차를 마시는 행위가 지닌 형식과 감각을 확장하였다. 차를 나누는 행위에 담긴 존중과 배려의 의미를 오늘의 자리에서 다시 살펴보고자 한 시도였다.

Onjium presented an 'Autumn Tea pop-up with Rohae' exploring the hospitality and care expressed through tea. Drawing on historical records, the project recreated the practice of sealing newly harvested tea in spring and opening it in autumn—a way of preserving precious tea to serve to guests at its best. Through Seon Master Choi(초의선사)’s Dasinjeon(다신전) and the writings of Kim Si-seup(김시습), Onjium examined the care given to storing and drinking tea, bringing these practices together in a shared experience.The menu paired Ryeoun(려운), a powdered tea inspired by Goryeo tea culture, with bingnyung-gwa(빙륜과), a traditional confection; infused tea with tea wafers and tea-flavoured pine nut meringues; and Onjium’s blended tea with dried persimmon pound cake. Each pairing conveyed the depth of the season through tea and sweets. White porcelain teacups featuring blue inlay were also presented, adding another dimension to the form and sensory experience of drinking tea. The pop-up offered a contemporary setting in which to revisit the respect and consideration expressed in sharing tea.
